Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing set a new record for most consecutive victories in a single season in Formula One after taking first place in the Italian Grand Prix.

The Ferrari driven by pole-winner Carlos Sainz kept the Dutchman behind for the first 14 circuits of the race, but the Dutchman’s persistence paid off when Sainz made a mistake that gave him the opportunity to pass him.
