The Football Association has brought a case against Reece James, the captain of Chelsea, for an alleged incident that occurred in the tunnel after their game against Aston Villa, which they lost 1-0.

Due to an injury, England defender James, who is 23 years old, did not participate in the game.

The Football Association made the following statement: “It’s alleged that the defender used inappropriate and/or insulting and/or abusive words and/or behavior towards a match official in the tunnel after the game.”

James’s response to the accusation is due by September 29 at the latest.
