The former Wales national football team star Gareth Bale has become a figure in the golf game

A golf video game has added Gareth Bale as a character that the player may control.

The legendary footballer from Wales was consistently ranked as one of the top players in the Fifa series, and he appeared on the cover of the franchise’s 2014 football game alongside Lionel Messi.

The golfing simulation game PGA Tour 2K23 features him as a player at this point in time.

The 34-year-old golfer tweeted a film of his likeness being scanned for the game, which will feature a course that he personally built called The Elevens Club.

In the video, he introduces himself as “Gareth Bale,” saying “I am Gareth Bale.” “The PGA Tour 2K23 scan is taking place right now,” I said.

Before Bale announced his retirement from football in January 2023, he led Wales to the semi-finals of Euro 2016 and played for Wales in the nation’s first World Cup since 1958, which was held in Qatar 2022.

The former captain of Wales frequently discusses his passion for golf and recently participated in the BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am alongside Rory McIlroy.

However, at the time when the forward was playing for Real Madrid, he was accused of putting his responsibilities with the Spanish club behind his obligations with the sport.

Predrag Mijatovic, a former forward for Real Madrid, made the following statement in 2019: “The first thing he (Bale) thinks about is Wales, then golf, and after that, Real Madrid.”

In honor of their patron saint, the fans of Wales started singing “Wales, golf, Madrid” as an homage to their team.

After Wales’ 2-0 victory over Hungary in November 2019, a result that ensured the nation’s qualification for Euro 2020, Bale and his teammates celebrated with a flag of Wales that contained the chant. The flag was displayed during the celebration.

Both his total of 111 caps and his tally of 41 goals are records for the men’s Wales national team.
